Bol introduces Always Select discounts for selected partners

For the first time, Bol is allowing a selected group of sales partners to participate in discounts for Select members. And that's good news for Bol, for customers, but possibly most of all for partners.

As a seller, you're familiar with it: Bol's Select program offers customers benefits like free shipping and fast delivery. But now there's something new: ongoing discounts on popular products, offered by partners. At least, if you're among the selected partners.

What are Always Select discounts for Bol sellers?

Always Select discounts are dynamic, ongoing promotional offers for Bol's most loyal customers: the Select members. Unlike traditional promotions, you don't need to schedule these deals weeks in advance. As soon as you meet the conditions, your offer becomes automatically active. You can only apply Always Select discounts to popular products. What constitutes a popular product is determined by Bol.

Why is Bol doing this?

From Bol's perspective, it's smart: the Select program becomes more attractive, customers receive more value for their subscription, and the platform can position itself more strongly against competitors like Amazon (where Prime discounts have been around for a while).

However, the introduction of partner deals within Select also means that Bol is once again shifting a bit of control and profit optimization to the partners. After all, you're the one offering the discount, not Bol itself.
